Bones-N-Balance was honored to participate in the African American Health Program’s National Black HIV & AIDS Awareness Day on February 5, 2025, at the Silver Spring Civic Center. The event was a powerful blend of education, community, and celebration, bringing people together for an evening of valuable health resources, engaging workshops, and fun activities.
From the moment we arrived, the energy in the room was inspiring—so many individuals and organizations came together with one goal: to raise awareness and support wellness in our community. The event was filled with informative sessions, on-site health screenings, and interactive exhibits, all designed to encourage proactive health management.
Our Bones-N-Balance table was a hit! We connected with attendees, shared information about bone health, movement, and overall wellness, and had some great conversations about how Sitting Weakens the Bones. (download the PDF for reference) It was truly rewarding to see so many people engaged, asking questions, and eager to learn more.
Beyond the education, the event also had a festive and welcoming atmosphere, with music, food, and fantastic giveaways. Seeing the community come together in such a positive and supportive space was a reminder of how impactful events like these can be.
We’re grateful to have been part of this meaningful day and look forward to future collaborations that continue to support health and well-being in our community.
